Gateshead 3 Matlock 2

Gateshead FC put last weeks exit out of the FA Cup well behind them with a good win over high flying Matlock Town.

One man stole the show "DAVIE SOUTHERN"with three great goals, the Matlock keeper will be mentally scared for life at seeing Davie run the show.

Davie scored his first two goal's in the first half and scored his third just after half time.

Gateshead looked strong until after the third goal but started to relax a bit with the big lead, this invited Matlock to come forward, matlock pulled two back and grew stronger as the second half went on, but Gateshead rid the storm to clinch the win at the International Stadium.
