A fantastic win for the Heed Army down at Fleetwood on Tuesday night, this win takes Gateshead 3 points behind second placed Fleetwood.The man of the moment Graeme Armstrong grabbed another two goals to give Gateshead a moral boosting win in the chase for promotion.
Kris Gate opened the scoring in the second half after a goalless first half. Soon after Fleetwood pegged a goal back before Armstrong grabbed the first of his brace. Once again Fleetwood levelled the score line.
The Cod Army couldn’t handle the pressure from the Heed and Super Graeme Armstrong wrapped up a fine win with his 16th goal of the season in front of a crowd of 550.
