Gateshead 2 Leek 1

Another good display from Ian Bogies team Kept Gateshead on their unbeaten run of 9 Games without defeat.

In the April sunshine Gateshead took the game to leek and had many chances falling to the Heed forward line, but it was Davie Southern who broke the deadlock.

Davie's solo run into the box ended up in him slotting the ball past the keeper to send the Heed Army wild in the stand!!
1-0 at half time.
After the break leek got into the game more and got back on level scores mid way through the first half.
The game looked to be ending 1-1, but a fantastic cross Field pass found Jamie Harwood unmarked. Harwood then ran with the ball and smashed the ball into the leeks goal!!
The was a typical end of season match, but the Gateshead lads kept plugging away and got a good win for Ian Bogie.
