Gateshead made it five games unbeaten with a great 5-2 win over Unibond bottom team Grantham town.
Gateshead didn't start the game very well, and poor communication lead to Grantham taking the lead early stages in the first half.
Grantham had much the better on the first half, keeping Gateshead in their own half and forcing error from Gatesheads midfield.
Davie "Chicken legs" Southern got Gateshead level with five minutes remaining in the first half with a great finish from 15 yards.
Soon after the leveller Craig "Nelly" Nelthrope's free kick put Gateshead 2-1 up at half time.
Straight after the break Jamie Harwood made it 3-1 to Gateshead, Harwood must have found some confidence with this goal as he went on to grab a Hat-track scoring two other well worked goals.
Gateshead started to relax and let Grantham get a consolation goal in the late stages of the game.
5-2 at home is a great result and the lads showed true grit to ride out early pressure in the first half.
