Towards the back end of last season one man rised to the top, to become everyones first name on the Gateshead team sheet, the man is Steve Baker.His commanding performance was a huge factor in the Heed Army's 12 match unbeaten run at the back end of last season's campaign.
Gateshead face having to be without the former Scarborough big man for up to two and a half months due to a injury he sustained during the pre-season friendly at Newcastle Benfield last month.
